How We Do It

Collection & Transportation – Our modern fleet, supported by dependable subcontractors, provides the safe and timely removal of organic residuals — in strict accordance with transportation regulations.

Compliance & Public Education – We take ownership of your organic wastes and handle the permitting, reporting, and compliance monitoring — working in cooperation with the regulatory agencies. Then we follow through by helping the public understand the program’s benefit.

Composting Facilities – Using leading-edge technologies to transform organic resources into products, we design, construct, own, and operate compost facilities.

Farm Fertilization and Reclamation – While utilizing residuals to amend farm soils and to reclaim disturbed soils, we protect our reserves of virgin topsoil. Capabilities include topdressing, tilling, blending, and grading.

Selling Soil Products – We sell compost, mulch and soil products using the earthlife™ brand name. With over 2,000,000 cubic yards sold, our customers include landscapers, earthwork contractors, sports fields superintendents, public works departments, and gravel mine operators, to name a few.

A Culture of Innovation

We believe that innovation, skill, and a measure of creative thinking are an important part of managing a broad range of solid waste challenges.  That’s why we are constantly evaluating new technologies and services to manage society’s residual waste streams, such as the use of anaerobic digestion and residual fuel alternatives.

We also believe that the ability to address different wastes in different ways is what our customers expect from today’s (and tomorrow’s) waste management company.

That’s why New England Organics® is a Casella Waste Systems company.
